VILLA D'ESTE ONCOURS D'ELEGANCE

This Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance was very important for Zagato. Among the extraordinary cars coming from all over the world, there was a group of rare and precious models by the Italian coachbuilder: the 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Spider Zagato, a fundamental model in the activity of Scuderia Ferrari, when Zagato was their main partner; the 1947 Maserati A6 1500 Panoramica Zagato, a one-off; the 1957 Jaguar XK140 Coupé Zagato (another one-off) and also a 1954 Maserati A6G/54 Zagato, the most coveted 2.0 litre, GT coupé of the Tridente. The Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Zagato (that had already won its class) was awarded this year’s Best in Show prize. The 1954 Maserati A6G/54 was also a notable winner at the Concours, with a Best in Class of the GT category.
