From May 23 to 26, Rieti, in the heart of Italy, welcomed the 52nd International Zagato Car Club Meeting. Forty teams, from all over Italy and abroad, participated with as many historic Zagato cars, coloring the cities and roads of Lazio, Umbria, and Abruzzo. The first day of the rally enchanted Rieti with some of the most iconic post war models, including Alfa Romeo SVZ, Junior Zagato, S.Z. and R.Z., Lancia Appia GTE, Flavia Sport, Fulvia Sport 1300, 1600 and Competizione and the Maserati Biturbo Spider. The following day, the parade reached Amatrice, crossing the Passo delle Capannelle and skirting Lake Campotosto. A special meeting was held at the "Sergio Marchionne" Comprehensive Institute with teachers, students, local authorities, and law enforcement. The day concluded with a return to Rieti and a skill test at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. On the third day, the rally headed towards Terminillo, winding through the picturesque Leonessa and reaching the Marmore Falls via Val Nerina. The evening gala dinner was an opportunity to host a fundraiser for the Comprehensive Institute of Amatrice for the purchase of educational materials. The rally concluded on Sunday at Lake Turano, with a warm farewell to the 53rd International Zagato Meeting next year.
