On the shores of Lake Como, Zagato and Aston Martin introduced the Vanquish Zagato Concept, a Vanquish-based V-Max concept with new carbon fibre bodywork shaped by Zagato designers and the Aston Martin team led by Chief Designer Marek Reichman. To seal the long-standing partnership between the two brands, ongoing since 1960 producing 12 Zagato-bodied Aston Martin collectibles up to now, Andrea Zagato and Marek Reichman paraded in the 1960 Aston Martin DB4 GTZ which was in the contest, judged as the most fascinating in its category. Two more Zagato cars received awards: a 1957 Fiat 8VZ won in Class E – “Daring the Different”-  and the 1961 Alfa Romeo SZ Coda Tronca Prototype was awarded the prestigious FIVA World Motoring Heritage Year, UNESCO Patronage - Best Preserved Vehicle prize.
