The first edition of the Aurora Concours of Elegance dazzled attendees from July 3rd to 5th in the enchanting town of Bastad, nestled on the western coast of Sweden. Renowned for its picturesque landscapes, bustling nightlife, rich history, and vibrant culture, Bastad provided a captivating backdrop for this prestigious automotive event. The event featured an array of exquisite automobiles, with a notable presence of Zagato-designed cars that graced both the Concours and the scenic Tour d’Elegance through the neighbouring areas. Among the standout vehicles: Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Zagato 1932: a timeless classic that epitomizes the golden era of automotive design; Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ coda tonda 1960: celebrated for its sleek, aerodynamic lines and historical significance; Alfa Romeo R.Z. 1993: a rare and distinctive model showcasing innovative design; Ferrari 575 GTZ 2006: a stunning blend of Italian craftsmanship and performance. Aston Martin V12 Zagato 2012: an iconic collaboration between Aston Martin and Zagato, renowned for its power and elegance. Aston Martin Vanquish Shooting Brake Zagato 2018: a modern masterpiece combining luxury and utility with signature Zagato flair. Norihiko Harada, the Chief Designer of Zagato, lent his expertise as a member of the esteemed jury while Paolo Di Taranto, Brand & Heritage met the Zagato Owners who attended the Concourse, exchanging some hints about their collectibles. The event was also a new opportunity to strengthen the collaboration between Zagato Atelier and JP Morgan Private Bank, sponsor of the venue, after the successful start of 1000Miglia 2024. The Aurora Concours of Elegance not only highlighted the concepts of Beauty & Heritage but also fostered a deeper appreciation for automotive artistry and craftsmanship in Scandinavia.
