CONCORSO D’ELEGANZA VILLA D’ESTE

On the shores of Lake Como, the 2026 edition of Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este once again provided the perfect stage for Zagato to showcase both its Contemporary vision and its Historic legacy.  In the Concept Cars & Prototypes Class, the hypercar capricorn 01 Zagato made its Italian debut in the “Tutto Rosso” specification in front of the Jury and the Public. The configuration draws inspiration from the all-red Italian competition cars of the 1930s, like the Zagato-bodied Alfa Romeo 6C, where monochromatic red executions amplified both the emotional intensity and the motorsport identity of the car. More than a color choice, “Tutto Rosso” represents a design philosophy centered on material and color coherence, with approximately 95 percent of all visible surfaces finished in Rosso. Only a handful of functional components, such as the shift gate and pedals, are left in contrasting finishes. Zagato’s heritage was equally well represented across the Classic Classes, with some of the most iconic coachbuilt creations in the Atelier’s history. Among them was the Ferrari 250 GTZ, winner of the “Enzo’s Endurance Legends” Class, presented by Ennio Luglio, son of gentleman driver Camillo Luglio, who commissioned the car from Elio Zagato in 1957. Also on display were the 1954 Fiat 8V Zagato Elaborata, the 1955 Alfa Romeo 1900 C SSZ and the 1959 Lancia Flaminia Sport Zagato, A true celebration of vision, craftsmanship and automotive beauty, Villa d’Este once again highlighted Zagato’s unique ability to bridge past and future.
