Alfa Romeo Zagato Backstage is the name of the event held at the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo on October 8th, 2023. In this occasion more than 20 Alfa Romeo Zagato bodied cars, from 1930 to 2012 took part to a very special Parade, with the aim of celebrating the Alfa Romeo & Zagato Essential Beauty across every decade. 6C GS Zagato, 1900SSZ, SVZ, 2600SZ, Gran Sport Quattroruote, JZ, 1600Z, S.Z., R.Z, and TZ3 paid tribute to this uninterrupted collaboration from the 1921 Alfa Romeo G1 Zagato to the 2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia SWB Zagato. Since the foundation of the Atelier, which took place in Milan in 1919, immediately after the Great War, Ugo Zagato has applied the experience gained in the Aeronautical sector, at the Ansaldo Pomilio Construction, to his cars, especially sports ones. In 1921, two years after the founding of Zagato, in Viale Brianza and two years after the takeover of A.L.F.A by Ing. NICOLA ROMEO, the collaboration between the Milanese body shop and the Portello house began. Andrea Zagato, Lorenzo Ardizio (Curator of Museo Storico Alfa Romeo), Ermanno Keller (President of R.I.A.R.) and Paolo Di Taranto (Zagato Brand & Heritage) presented this unbeatable collaboration through more than 160 different design drawings.”
