1000 MIGLIA
After the success of the Kyoto Elegance contest, what better background to the Centenary celebrations than the 1000 Miglia, the history of which is tightly interwoven with that of Zagato since the beginning. The Milanese signature was guest of honour at the event in Brescia, with 12 cars, all contemporary collectibles clearly showing their Zagato DNA, which took part in the race amidst the oldtimers, for the first time ever in a dedicated category and classification. At the viale Venezia starting platform, an S.Z. and a TZ3 Stradale, a Hyena, the Testarossa FZ93, a Carrera V10 GTZ, plus some Vanquish Family exponents and a V12 Vantage Twin, well representing the Zagato design of the past three decades. On the highest step of the podium, the Kimura-Kurosawa crew from Japan on their Lancia Hyena, followed by Andrea and Marella Zagato on the V12 Twin and by the Egli-Villiger crew from Switzerland on their Vanquish Coupe.
