To celebrate the Spyker team joining Formula 1, the C12 was unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. The car, born from the friendship between Andrea Zagato and Victor Muller - CFO of the Dutch manufacturer and collector of Zagato models - sports the grey and orange livery of the F1 team and is bodied entirely in aluminium with steel trimmings. The Spyker C12 Zagato, based on the C12 Spider, features various details taken from Formula 1 cars, like the front tip, the air vents, the windows and the rain lights. The see-through roof and the 'swallow' tail are instead typical Zagato touches, that reveal the mutual aeronautical origins of the two brands.
