The BMW Roadster Zagato is not simply a Coupé Zagato with its roof cut off. Following the tradition of the Atelier and the habit (cutting edge in the 50s and 60s) to build a convertible with a different design from the closed version, the rear of the car has been deeply remodelled: new bumper, new shape of the boot, new spoiler, new wraparound glass case for the lights. As in the coupé, the Roadster is a street legal V-max concept, which celebrates the first BMW Zagato model in history: the 1949 318 Barchetta Mille Miglia.
