The year after the debut of the Corsa version at the 2011 24 Hours of the Nürburgring, Aston Martin announced the production of 99 units with carbon fibre bodywork of the Stradale version of the V12 Zagato. The style of the model, with its compact shape, was inspired by the 1960 Aston Martin DB4 Zagato. The glasshouse - that gives the optical illusion the A pillar is not there at all - the large front grille, the typical shape of the roof, plus the 'criss-cross' pattern on the side and rear windows and the round back lights have all become design elements characteristic of the Aston Zagato models: a 'necessary beauty'.
